My Role
As the UI/UX Designer my role was to...
  • Define the product requirements by understanding the school’s goals, audience needs, and content priorities.

  • Conduct user research to identify key user journeys such as course discovery, enrollment, and browsing student work.

  • Develop wireframes and user flows to structure the site’s information architecture.

  • Create high-fidelity UI designs that reflected the school’s artistic identity and brand guidelines.

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation and maintain design consistency.

01. Overview

I am working with Oxford Art Academy as a personal UI/UX redesign project after noticing that their website felt cluttered and hard to navigate. The landing page and menu were overloaded with information, making it difficult for users to find what they needed. I focused on creating a cleaner layout, simpler navigation, and a more intuitive booking flow for birthday parties, camps, and art classes. My goal was to make the site feel user-friendly, engaging, and visually cohesive, while highlighting the fun, creative energy that represents Oxford Art Academy.

02. Problem

The original Oxford Art Academy website had too much noise and poor organization. Users struggled to find information about programs and booking options. The layout and color choices made it hard to understand what the site offered, and the navigation wasn’t clear or consistent across pages. This caused frustration and made the user journey confusing.

03. Design Process

I began by reviewing other art school websites  to understand what wasn’t working with Oxfors  and identify key user points on the other websites. From there, I created wireframes to organize the content and simplify how users move through the site. I focused on the main 4 pillars of the art school building a clean layout with clear navigation and visual balance. Using Figma, I explored colors, fonts, and UI elements that feel fun, modern, and easy to follow. I also made sure the design works well on both desktop and mobile devices.

04. Solution & Results
The redesigned Oxford Art Academy website features a clean, modern interface with clear navigation and an easy booking flow. The new layout highlights key programs like birthdays, camps, and after-school activities in a way that feels organized and inviting. By simplifying the design and focusing on user needs, I created a site that’s faster to navigate, more visually balanced, and mobile-friendly. The improved structure and visuals make it easier for users to find what they need and feel confident when booking—creating a smoother and more enjoyable overall experience.
